Barnsley Metropolitan Band

The Barnsley Metropolitan Band is a well-established brass band that plays at events around the region and beyond.  Each year the band perform at various civic events, take part in the Yorkshire Area Brass Band Championships and regularly tour Europe. The Band also organise and perform at the Barnsley Bandfest at Elsecar Heritage Centre and the Junior Bandfest at Emmanuel Church. These festivals celebrate band music from all around South Yorkshire and beyond.

The band is open to pupils who receive Music Service tuition plus family members who are interested in learning a musical instrument.
