Borough of Barnsley Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club.  Join in if you are aged 7 or over and have already achieved your Dolphin 10 swimming award or equivalent and want to make new friends as well as learn to swim competitively.

Rainbows are part of the biggest organisation for girls in the UK with almost 600.000 members. Girls have fun & make new friends in a safe girl-only space.

Guides are a group of girls aged ten to 14, and there are millions of us around the world!

We get together regularly to do lots of exciting things and generally have a good laugh. We make friends, meet people, try new activities and learn new skills. Being a Guide means having more fun than ever before!
 

For ages 10 to 14 years.

Girlguiding UK, as part of a worldwide Movement, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society through its distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders.

It provides opportunities for girls and young women to:

·         be challenged by new adventures and experiences and achieve a sense of pride in accomplishment.

·         develop self-awareness, self-respect and self-confidence.

·         develop a personal faith and values to give life meaning and direction think for themselves, govern themselves and make their own decisions.

·         make friends and have fun in the family of Guiding.

·         develop a sense of tolerance, justice, kindness and honour learn teamwork and acquire leadership skills, working with and for others.

·         appreciate the environment and how to live in it.

·         understand and learn about the world, its people and cultures.

Kidz Club is an after-school activity club for children aged between 8-11yrs.

The club is run by a very committed team and is structured in a way that the children accept and enjoy. Every week there is a theme or topic, for example Healthy Eating, Cyber Bullying etc. The first part of the club is structured around a fun game and a short craft and then we have a break for drinks and notices allowing the children to mix and communicate. For the next 20 minutes we have our talk on this weeks theme where we hope to get a good discussion going with the children. The final part of the club is either a main craft, fun games, messy games or even a drama workshop.
